		<description><![CDATA[I love this post!  I&#039;m considering where to go on my next vacation, and have been dreaming about Peru for a while.  Unfortunately I read through the US Dept. of State &#039;travel advice&#039; for the region and got myself all worked up about being kidnapped out of a taxi or being attacked by roving gangs while visiting ancient ruins somewhere.

I have traveled (and lived) abroad before, so I know the difference between the stereotypes and realities... but still it&#039;s nice to see and hear from someone actually living on the ground.  I&#039;d love to hear more about the places I should go and things I should see while there!
